homemade potato chips

Last week for Valentine's Day my husband made me a lovely dinner that included some homemade potato chips. They turned out so good I thought I'd share!

Wash your potatoes.

My husband just cut the potatoes with a knife but I thought the slicing blade on my food processor would do the job.

Hmmm, maybe not.

So I improvised. Don't do this at home. I just took the processor blade off and sliced by sliding the potato over it. This worked great for me in a pinch but next time I'll have to buy some sort of slicer that is safer.

Take some olive oil and a pinch of salt and mix in a bowl.

Brush your potatoes with olive oil then flip over and brush the other side.

Place potatoes on a microwave safe plate and cook on high for 3 minutes. Turn potatoes over and cook for another 3 minutes.

We had a popcorn seasoning and decided to try flavored chips.

Sprinkle seasoning on after you brush on the olive oil, I did both sides.
